Ugh if anyone out there dislikes the line “My Great Movie” as much as I do when using iMovie please know that you can easily change it to whatever you want.

Open this file with a text editor:

/Applications/iMovie HD.app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/Localizable.strings

and down on line 114, change what’s in the quotes:

defaultNameForNewProject = “My Great Movie”;
