iPhoto

Apparently iPhoto <3's iPhone's dock more than iTunes does because if you connect your iPhone directly to your Mac by only using its USB cable, iPhoto won't recognize it as a camera and allow you to import photos. You have to use the dock as the go-between. iTunes doesn't seem to mind if I'm using the dock or not; why should iPhoto require the dock to import photos? I spent probably an extra 30 minutes trying to figure out what went wrong, even going so far as to turning off iTunes' automatic sync feature thinking that iTunes was interrupting iPhoto by wanting to sync first. Nope. Just simply use the dock. I find this behavior to be quite odd and hope that it will be corrected in a software update to iPhoto 06.

That has never been an issue for me. Connecting it either way bring up iPhoto. I would try another sync cable.

Yeah iPhoto does startup but it doesn’t show the iPhone in the list on the left for me.
